It was an example (for learning purpose).

He didn't ask for an example now did he? Hows he gunna learn from it either? I didn't get to where I'm at skill wise by looking at other peoples threads. I didn't learn from watching other peoples "high beginner" work. Unless i wanted to lose originality. If he wants to think he's high beginner, let him think that. Who are you to say he is or not? Your so focused on a stupid rank your bashing the guy for it. He's in the same hall as you... get over it.
*Buzzer*
1. No. He didnt ask for an example, but then again, stiff shit. You need examples to show you your place and rank. How is he supposed to know what high beginner animations look like without examples.
how are you supposed to know what the high beginner rank looks like. No one has ever definitively stated the requirements for it. The whole systems full of ambiguity. No example will ever prove what a high beginner looks like.

2. He is going to learn that he isnt as great as he thinks he is. He therefore has more drive to get better, inspiration if you will. He wants to be as good as the example (my thread) so he is going to work hard to reach it.
or you'll drive his self esteem down to the bitter core, you think shoving better work in his face is going to make him want to get better? Sorry but fuck you!
3. Actually, there is something to learn from people who animate better then you; how things should look, how to do it, what it should end up being, what it looks like, etc. If you go through your entire pivot career (for lack of a better name) doing a wave in 2 frames, not seeing how it should look, you would never learn how to wave propably now, would he?
I'm sorry is originality totally out the window with you? You think there's only one way to animate? Get real. "how things should look"? You have no sense of artistic direction.
4. "If he wants to think he's high beginner, let him think that."
Thats how self delusion works. That isnt good, even IF he isnt dumping his self-satisfied animations on anyone else (which he is, us). But going around saying that he is great, showing off, is even worse (to put it bluntly, which is what he is doing). You want to know what its bad even if its in his own privacy, not where anyone else knows it exists? It means he cant improve.
theres nothing wrong with a little self confidence asshole. You think everyone has to be meserable and think they're a pile of shit in order to improve. THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR SAYING! It's not self delusion, its perspective. In my eyes your work is a pile of shit compared to mine. Feel better? Do you feel less delusion now so you can improve yourself to the DD standard?
5. "Who are you to say he is or not?"
Anyone who KNOWS they are superior to him has good authority to critisise (hell, even people worse then him who know thier place can critisise). Thats how critism works, thats how knowing what to improve on works, thats how learning how to improve them works.
I'm superior to you according to DD so you better listen to my fucking words then and lay the fuck off him, unless that philosophy of yours is given a strange exception.
6. We are not bashing, he just cant take critism. You have to point out the bad parts, to make him know what to improve on.
and you can't take my criticism of your criticism. I've pointed out plenty of the bad parts in what you had to say. Maybe I should show you some of Adam Phillips' work so you can learn to improve your worthless skill.
